Victoria is definitely one of our favourite cities in Canada so far! A very small, adorable and easy to navigate (perfect for me!) city with lots to look at and so many yummy looking fish & chip shacks that it was hard to choose where we would have lunch. We eventually chose Joe’s Seafood bar because the one we noted in the guide book (Red Fish Blue Fish) had a line up around the parkig lot – Which we waited in for 1/2 an hour before not moving an inch and giving up. Boy were we glad we moved over to Joe’s – totally the yummiest and freshest fish on the trip yet.

We also took a great walking tour of the city and really started to experience how chilly things can get on the west coast. No more shorts for this one! The dragon boat festival was also on in Victoria this weekend so the harbour was dressed up Chinese style and lots of fair-type vendors lined the parks and streets.

Later in the day, through our awesome friend Dana, we met up with a lovely couple out here and had ourselves a business meeting. Hope the connection works out, it would be great to have more excuses to come out west.
Off this evening to Nanaimo to stay in a lovely (and finally family friendly) camp ground.
